Effect Groups
There are five effect groups in Forsaken Isle. Any effect can be from any group. Four of the effect groups usually have durations of one minute, except in the case of some beneficial abilities. Hex, the fifth effect group, has the duration of permanent.
Physical: These effects are usually delivered by powerful, or precise mundane force.
Mental: These effects usually work on the mind of the target, attacking their willpower.
Magical: These effects work if they hit any point of the target or any object the target is holding. Sometimes they can mimic mental or physical attacks.
Toxic: These are poisonous or biologically harmful effects. Disease is the only effect from this group that is permanent until cured. These are usually delivered via dust packet (inhilation), ingested, injected, or through contact.
Hex: These are usually templates that are added to your character and may cause longterm role-play alterations. You never have to take a Hex effect (See the general rule section).
