Denizens of the Underworld
The denizens of the Underworld have changed over the last few hundred years. Many more are able to exist for long periods of time in the Material realm. They have also become more difficult to spot, the magic that sustains them hiding their most hideous features, and more often allowing the Undead to maintain a semblance of life.
Zombie
Species: Undead Range: Underworld Appearance: As they did in life. They tend to have wounds that go unhealed (they can only heal through magical means). Ecology: Zombies do not reproduce. They have the mental faculties that they did when they were alive, except they tend to be twisted towards evil in morality regardless of their stance while living. They tend to wander the Underworld in herds of other Zombies, sometimes herded by more powerful undead. Used as fodder by stronger undead when breaches open. Zombies survive in the material realm by devouring brains of sapient creatures. They must consume at least 1 brain every day. The zombie activity cycle can vary greatly. Zombies still get tired and do require rest. Zombies do not feel pain, but can still bleed to death and be destroyed much like their living counterparts in life. Ghoul
Species: Undead Range: Underworld Appearance: As they did in life, plus purple finger tips Ecology: Ghouls do not reproduce. They have the mental faculties that they did when they were alive, except they tend to be twisted towards evil in morality regardless of their stance while living. They find any malicious act humerous. They also have long purple claws that spring forth from their fingers when hunger overtakes them. A Ghoul has been known to be unable to resist the smell of a bleeding corpse, they must feed ferociously on flesh, though they prefer the humanoid flesh of the dead (often why they are found in graveyards). Ghouls also get tired from too much activity, though they recover from strenuous actions very quickly. Ghouls tend to enjoy being part of a ghoul pack, but don't enjoy the company of other undead or the living. Temperment: Various Degree of Sapience/Intelligence (1-10): Various Resources: Various |
